New Year kicks off breaking all records

London, UK - 9 January 2003, 12:00 GMT - As predicted by mi2g, Christmas day (206) and New Year's day (60) saw relatively few incidences of overt digital attacks worldwide. In sharp contrast the days prior and immediately after saw a sudden surge. 3rd January 2003 has broken all records with over 2,395 attacks worldwide. The first week in January has also had the second, third and fourth worst days on record for digital attacks since 1995.
