Third MyDoom variant emerges to target Microsoft

London, UK - 9 February 2004, 21:00 GMT - MyDoom, the fastest spreading and most damaging malware in history, has now got a third variant. MyDoom.c has emerged in a stripped down version of the .a and .b variants with the sole purpose of targeting Microsoft's web site with a DDoS attack.
