Lessons learnt from the Barclays online fraud

London, UK - 15 September 2003, 08:30 GMT - The recent fraudulent attempt to gain access to Barclays bank customer accounts - that tried to dupe over 350 customers at least - by sending an official looking email which invited the unsuspecting account holders to part with their user name and password throws the fundamental risk with the present online banking authentication process into sharp relief.
