East European crime syndicates involved in bank scam

London, UK - 15 September 2003, 18:00 GMT - The email fraud which has hit online banking at Barclays in the UK and the Bank of Montreal and Desjardins Bank in Canada had the emails sent from surrogate computers in the US but the origin of the emails is being traced back to Eastern Europe, reliable banking sources have informed the mi2g Intelligence Unit.
