Europe becomes main target one year after the start of Iraq war

London, UK - 18 March 2004, 15:00 GMT - The number of overt digital attacks worldwide in February 2004, excluding malware, has gone up by 64% in comparison to the same month last year before the war with Iraq started according to the mi2g Intelligence Unit, the world leader in digital risk. After Brazil, ideologically motivated and criminal hacker groups are increasingly originating from the Middle East. The premier league now includes Turkey, Morocco, Kuwait, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia based hackers.
