London, UK - 21 May 2003, 12:30 GMT - The world record for the number of successful verified digital attacks carried out in one month was broken last night according to mi2g, the world leader in digital risk. The first 20 days of May recorded a total of 20,182 overt attacks, breaking the previous record of 19,658 attacks achieved in January 2003. 4th May was a record-breaking day with 2,576 verified overt attacks in one day. Records date back to 1995.
