The Client
Our client was a large multi-billion Dollar financial services group headquartered
in North America.
The Business Challenge
Trust between internal and external partners is the critical component for
success in eBusiness digitisation. This includes Confidentiality, Integrity,
Authentication and Non-Repudiation. The project required standard and open-ended
solutions to match the many different requirements of our client's individual
companies.
The Solution
The strategy took into consideration the flexibility for future enhancements
and upgrades to match both the changing business requirements of our client's
dynamic insurance businesses, and the rapid technological and structural changes
anticipated in the industry.
Following an open systems model, the solutions deployed within the eBusiness
Digitisation Strategy were focused on adopting a "buy" versus "build"
strategy and by integrating "best of breed" applications within
the portal framework. Built on UNIX with an Oracle database, the eBusiness
Digitisation Strategy adopted Siebel's CRM solution to manage its customer
interactions.
mi2g's project management team liased with external partners to facilitate,
validate and define the final goal. Through a series of workshops and interviews
with the key players from many of our client's companies, the priorities and
deliverables of our client's eBusiness Digitisation Strategy were established.
